It looks hypocritical....It sounds hypocritical...too...

It ALL looks and sounds hypocritical…

Protesters in Ferguson

The U.S. invaded Iraq and Afghanistan to establish democratic norms…
The U.S. is pushing hard in Ukraine…to establish democratic government…
The U.S. supported the “Arab Spring”…They bombed Libya to get rid of Qaddafi, supported the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt… Supported the opposition to the Syrian regime and ISIS, who beheaded the American journalist, is part of that opposition…
But now in Ferguson, Illinois the masks are down and the hypocrisy is exposed…
The world is crying…The Big Brother is naked like the Emperor in Hans Christian Anderson’s Emperor’s New Clothes…Ferguson exposed once again the nakedness of the Emperor…the Big Brother…
Read the commentary in various countries…

Iran…
Qasem Ghafuri of the Iranian newspaper Siyasat-e Ruz writes…
"Considering the developments in Ferguson, the question is how can America chant slogans about supporting people and security in the world at a time when the people's simple demands are suppressed inside the country[i.e. U.S.] and people do not even have the right to protest?"
And in Russia…
Russia, which is suffering under the brunt of US sanctions, a paper was eager to call attention to the situation.
Igor Dunayevsky writes in Rossiskaya Gazeta…"Though the US portrays itself as a country of equal opportunities, it is too early to talk about the victory over racism and segregation there."
And a Russian tabloid, Komsomolskaya Pravda writes, "Not only are the police acting as the US Army does in Iraq (simply put, like occupation forces), but it is this model that the US exports to countries that seek help... in reforming their interior ministries." The paper cites US involvement in Georgia under Saakashvili as an example…
And in China…
China's state-owned news agency, Xinhuanet, announces that while the US has been trying to play the role of judge and jury around the world, Ferguson shows that there is still work to be done at home and writes… "Obviously, what the United States needs to do is to concentrate on solving its own problems rather than always pointing fingers at others."
And in Trukey…
Many people in Turkey compared the turbulence in Ferguson to last year's Gezi Park protests…and wrote, "It is perfectly understandable that some media outlets might rather translate old-school racial tensions into hipster language and make it about social media rather than race, but suggesting that Turkey's angry youth were motivated by the same reasons as the urban poor in the American Midwest does great disrespect to past generations who suffered the most grave violations of their human rights and were systematically deprived of human dignity," Dogan Eskinat,a Turkish journalist, writes.

I know that the governments in Iran and Russia and China and Turkey are not democratic...I do not share the Big Brother points of view in these countries too...
But, that does not make the U.S. and the West any better... it just exposes the double talk and hypocrisy of ll the governments...
The U.S. and the West are not in a position to teach others...and Russia and Iran and China and Turkey are even worse...
It is a matter of degree only...and all systems are approximately the same...
Big Brother in ALL countries should let the people be...
I know that people will be able to help each other and share...and be happy...Only let them alone...
When there is so much turmoil and discontent in the U.S. and Western Europe...and the people of Ferguson do not even trust the justice system...
When the people are abused and their human rights trampled... Indeed it sounds very hypocritical and dishonest...when there is so much discontent in the U.S. to blame others and attempt to teach the world what democracy is....
This is exactly what I do not comprehend and condone....
They say..."Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye." Matthew 7:5

Check the statistics too...
A typical black household has accumulated less than one-tenth of the wealth of a typical white one. And it's only getting worse...

Over the past 25 years, the wealth gap between blacks and whites has nearly tripled, according to research by Brandeis University.

That's in large part because home ownership among blacks is so much lower. Housing is often Americans' greatest asset and a major component of their overall wealth.

Blacks also typically have lower incomes than whites, which also makes it harder for them to save and build wealth. The median income for black households is less than 60% that of white ones.

Unemployment is also a major problem. The jobless rate for blacks is twice that of whites. The gap has been at least that large for years.

All of these factors combine to push many blacks into poverty. America's 15% poverty rate masks the underlying racial differences. More than one in four blacks live in poverty, while fewer than one in 10 whites do.

The economic situation in Ferguson mirrors the national picture, with poverty, unemployment and low income pervasive among its black residents.

This abuse is not new...
In 2009

Ferguson police beat a man and then charged him with 'destruction of property' for bloody uniforms

In 2009 they charged a man with destruction of property… because he bled on their uniform…while four officers were beating him…

The Day Ferguson Cops Were Caught in a Bloody Lie
The officers got the wrong man, but charged him anyway—with getting his blood on their uniforms. How the Ferguson PD ran the town where Michael Brown was gunned down.
Police in Ferguson, Missouri, once charged a man with destruction of property for bleeding on their uniforms while four of them allegedly beat him.
“On and/or about the 20th day of Sept. 20, 2009 at or near 222 S. Florissant within the corporate limits of Ferguson, Missouri, the above named defendant did then and there unlawfully commit the offense of ‘property damage’ to wit did transfer blood to the uniform,” reads the charge sheet.

And a Los Angeles policeman writes...

"I'm a cop. If you don't want to get hurt, don't challenge me," the Washington Post headline blares. The piece was written by Sunil Dutta, a 17-year veteran of the Los Angeles Police Department.

"Even though it might sound harsh and impolitic, here is the bottom line: if you don't want to get shot, tased, pepper-sprayed, struck with a baton or thrown to the ground, just do what I tell you," he wrote.

Dutta cautions against arguing, insulting, or screaming at officers, "and don't even think of aggressively walking towards me. Most field stops are complete in minutes. How difficult is it to cooperate for that long?"

And an officer is suspended...

An officer who pointed a semi-automatic assault rifle at a Ferguson, Missouri, protester and threatened to kill him -- a tense episode caught on video and posted online -- is off the job, at least for now.
The St. Louis County Police Department announced Wednesday that a police officer from St. Ann, Missouri, "has been relieved of duty and suspended indefinitely" over the incident.
This is not abroad....It is in the U.S.
The chief in "double talk"...
The Big Brother "double talk" is as irrational as their mission of exporting their version of "democracy" to the world...

When I was teaching in my last school... I saw similar abuse of power from teachers and vice principals and principals... They were whimsical and at times illogical...
Principals and vice principals suspended students...because they had the power...
Teachers kicked students out of their classroom...because they could do so...
Education suffered...
But when it was a meeting ALL WAS NICE TALK and VERY EDUCATIONAL...Just like the "double talk" of the Big Brother....
