CY Leung called on demonstrators to allow the government and citizens to "resume their normal work and life" after a week of disruption.

Police let the Big Brother goons attack the students and their supporters...

Is that the signal for a violent show down ....?

The apparatchiks in Beijing have demonstrated their total despise for world opinion and democratic rights... So it will be no surprise to anyone if they order a crack down on the democracy movement in Hong Kong...

What is a shame is the silence of world capitals... in North America and all over Europe...

If it is not a rivalry between Russia and Europe... Then the world is silent...

If it is not the Middle East the world is silent...

If it is not the rivalry in Ukraine ... the world is silent...

Beijing realizes this full well...

Beijing hears the silence and knows full well that they will get away with anything... After all, the Big Brothers and  the world economy of needs Beijing and Chinese economy...

Soon Shanghai will eclipse the economic performance of Hong Kong...and when that happens...there will be more restrictions on democratic rights of the people in Hong Kong...

The West needs Hong Kong more that the oligarchs of Beijing... and that will be the determining factor in the current struggle for democratic rights...

THE WORLD IS SILENT...and THE WORLD CAPITALS WILL REMAIN SILENT...

That will be the shame of the world socio-economic system...

I am always fascinated with the story of Jesus and his stay in this world...
Whether we believe or not...
The Jesus narrative has impacted our loves and shaped our culture...

But People from Spain and Portugal are resorting to their adventures of centuries ago...when they traveled to Latin America...Brazil...Argentina...Chile... and the rest...

The unemployed are traveling into the future of the developing economies of South America...

As China is throwing a life line to the world economy... As India is re-engaging the imagination of Europe and the U.S. 

So Latin America is recapturing the imagination of Portuguese and Spanish alike...

They have identical cultures... same language... So it is worth the travel and attempting a new start...

May be students all over should open up to Chinese and Hindi and Spanish... They definitely look like the way of the future...
