Let's be truthful and Honest too... Wars SUCK...and ALL BIG BROTHERS are the SAME...

Big and Macho Brothers...
They talk though and they look funny...
They talk though and they look after the 1%... That is called oligarchy.... The rule of the few...
But the problem is that they have convinced us that we are living in democracies and we are the ones who set the rules...
We do not have to compare our system with dictatorships or with countries like China and Russia to make us feel good... That is a fundamental logical fallacy... Why compare ourselves with the worse...when we may compare ourselves with systems that are functioning better...or compare to the ideal and try to improve our system...

The G20 and the "double talk" of absurdity...

Australia's Prime Minister Abbotte   and     Russia's President Putin
                                                 Don't they look funny....!

The Brisbane G20 meeting is primarily an economic summit, not a political or human rights convention.

Putin is definitely not a saint... but the others are not saints...too

While Abbott is doing what he has to do as the host Prime Minister, it would be helpful if he dropped his own political grandstanding and his repeated description of the tragic deaths of those on board MH17 Malysian plane... as "murder"....

Let's get acquainted with the other participants...of the G20.

Saudi Arabia
Among its least savoury members is a feudal state that regularly murders people.
Saudi Arabia beheads individuals for the crime of sorcery and cuts hans and body parts for theft... The Saudi regime will not permit any Christiam practices and will not allow democratic rights to minorities... It is the country where women cannot drive cars...
Public Beheading in Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia Beheads 26 People in 1 Month, Some for ‘Sorcery': Western Governments have Nothing to Say About it

Beheaded bodies displayed PUBLICLY in Saudi Arabia...
Western allies have nothing to say about it...

So compared with Saudi Arabia, Russia is a bastion of democracy, a beacon of equality, a paragon of human rights....

China
In some ways, Russia also looks good compared with China, or at least rather similar. There is an opposition in Russia. Beijing
doesn't allow such decadence. China officially kills (as in the death sentence) more people than the rest of the world combined - and then some. China is only slowly and partially repealing its appalling (and economically damaging) one-child policy. You don't have to be a Right-to-Lifer to consider cases of near-full-term abortion to be murder. Best
China suppressing Tibetans...
not mention the occupation of Tibet or the oppression of the Uyghur minority. When it comes to encroaching on borders and unilaterally taking liberties, ask Vietnam and the Philippines what they think of China's South China Sea behaviour.
Chinese suppress religions and Tibet too...
Turkey
Turkey is another G20 member, a wonderful and interesting country, a NATO member and, unlike the three already mentioned, a somewhat more of a parliamentary democracy.
Kurdish mothers blocking the way for the Turkish army to stop massacres...of Kurdish fighters...

But, they just yesterday bombed Kurds in Turkey for advocating self-rule and democracy… The Turkish forces have sealed the border and watching the massacres of Kurds in Kobane … They are not allowing Kurdish fighters to cross its border as Islamist Jihadists attack the city with murderous intent.
Turkish tanks stand mute.
Turkish army massacring Kurds

Turkey is actively supporting some of the worse elements –Islamist-Jihadists, of the Libyan anarchy… President Erdogan takes an increasingly interventionist and apparently religion-based world politics...
Armenian Genocide By Turkey - Pile of skulls of massacred Armenians
Starving Children...Armenian Genocide perpetrated by Turkish regime...

Turkey also has never shown the maturity required to face up to the Armenian genocide - Genocide perpetrated and now denied by successive Turkish governments... A genocide that saw close to 60% of the population to be brutally murdered and the rest deported…
Also the massacres of Assyrians and Pontus Greeks… and their deportations…
Let’s be truthful and honest for a change ...

No-one has suggested the pro-Russian side of the Ukrainian war intended to shoot down a neutral civilian airliner. They thought
they were targeting a Ukrainian plane. It was an accident. The MH17 victims were, as the modern Western war jargon and to use the cold NATO euphemism that's now universal, collateral damage.
It was a mistake - and an expensive mistake for Russia ….

But,
When Western drones and planes accidentally kill civilians - totally innocent children among them – we do not call them murder…as we are blaming Russia...!

As far as I can reason…
Civilians accidentally killed in MH17 over Ukraine… or civilians accidentally killed in the Middle East drone attacks…are similar…
The pro-Russian fighters accidentally shot down the Malaysian civilian airline…..
The “Coalition of Willing” – U.S., Britain, Poland and Australia…drones accidentally bombed civilians////
Hence, playing the holier than thou game…is, to say the least…ABSURD…
In war...accidents will happen… and civilians will be the ones who suffer most…That’s the history of war...
And,
Give us a break…There are no JUST wars… No matter what euphemisms one uses…
War is war is war… and war is killing by its very definition…

So please drop the cheap "murder" rhetoric. It might play well in the domestic polls and sound heroic - "we warn the Tsar" - but it's wrong.
So please spare us the “double talk” … whatever is not reasonable is wrong … and wars are NEVER reasonable…

The Russian leadership is dreadful, a paranoid, corrupt and brutal and oligarchic… cleptocracy
that betrays and kills its own people, and bullies its neighbours... as they are doing in Ukraine... It unconscionably throws its weight around in its perceived sphere of influence, the way major powers have always done.

But the G20 meeting is not about the great and good, about justice and the human rights.

It's about collective economic self-interest. And that, if it's successful, will make life better for billions of people.

Thus the occasional thug and despot has to be accepted in the mix for the greater good. Exclude them and the nations that have made fatal mistakes, there would be no meeting.

Let us be truthful and honest...
The Hong Kong police have cornered a pro-democracy leader and beaten him...Check the photo below...
Photos show bruising on Ken Tsang's face and his back...

The widely circulated video shows officers carrying the man to a dark corner, where he's laid on the ground and repeatedly kicked and punched while others stand around, apparently keeping watch.
"Police express concern over the video clip showing several plainclothes officers who are suspected of using excessive force," said a statement issued by the Hong Kong Information Services Department Wednesday morning.

About their demands...
They want unadulterated democracy...
The government wants to decide the initial group of candidates... But once they decide the group...of candidates...then the elections are FREE and DEMOCRATIC...
The students have rejected this proposal and do not want the government to vet the candidates...
I agree...with the students... The more democracy...the better...
But let's be honest...
What do our primaries do...? They vet the candidates... What do the parties do...? They select candidates...similar to the Chinese government vetting...
Let's be truthful...
The HUGE donations by the 1%-Big Brother elite...what do they achieve...?
They VET the candidates... those who are approved by the money elite...they get more donations... and hence the money elite corrupts the democratic rights of the people...
Yes...we go to the polls...
Yes...the people of Hong Kong will go to the polls...
But initially BOTH SYSTEMS - the Chinese and OURS... are corrupted... the Chinese by the governmental vetting... and OURS by the party primaries and by the money elite...

Let's be honest and truthful on this hump-day...of the week...
Putin is a bully and an oligarch... our 1% is not any better...
China wants to corrupt the elections and the democratic process... and OUR 1% money elite and the political party primaries...DO THAT ALREADY....
Police arresting protesters in New York...Protesting the GREED of the 1%

Power corrupts...and absolute power corrupts absolutely...
Money perverts the democratic system...and the primaries are just to select which contamination we will tolerate...
I will not vote for Putin...I will note support the Chinese government...But I will also not ally myself with Saudi Arabia...and Turkey and the other dictatorships...
To be principled is good... to be honest good too...
But they are VERY HARD to fulfill... and very though to uphold...
That's why Socrates had difficulties...
Socrates at his Trial and Judgement...
Socrates gave up on the hope of finding a wise politician. He started talking to poets.
Poets, in the ancient world, claimed to have a direct line to truth.
