started our foundation in 2000 with the idea that by backing
innovative work in health and education, we could help billions of
people improve their lives. The progress we've seen so far is so
exciting that we are doubling down on the bet we made 15 years ago.
Here's
our bet: The lives of people in poor countries will improve faster in
the next 15 years than at any other time in history. We're putting
our credibility, time and money behind this bet because we think
there has never been a better time to accelerate progress and have a
big impact around the world.
Here
are four big breakthroughs we see coming by 2030:
- First, child deaths will go down by half.
- Second, Africa will be able to feed itself.
- Third, mobile banking will help the poor radically transform their lives. Today, some 2.5 billion people don't have access to cheap and easy financial services -- a problem that makes it much more difficult to be poor. If your savings is in the form of jewelry or livestock, for example, you can't very well chip off tiny pieces to cover routine daily expenses.
- Fourth, as high-speed cell networks grow and smartphones become as cheap as today's voice-only phones, online education will flourish. Before a child even starts primary school, she will be able to use her mom's smartphone to learn her numbers and letters. Software will be able to see when she's having trouble with the material and adjust for her pace. Of course, software will never replace teachers. But by allowing teachers to do things like upload videos of themselves and get feedback from their peers, it can connect them in new ways.
Technology opened up communication and democratized knowledge... Knowledge is available for all WILLING participants...
Neither the Church, the Mosque, the Synagogue , the Temple... nor the State... has monopoly on knowledge... ALL is at your fingertip... and it is up to you to use it and connect and benefit...
What
will it take to make sure life really does improve faster for the
poor? We need MORE advances in technology and we need EASIER ways to deliver them to
the people who need them most.
We also need to close the gender gap.

The technology REVOLUTION will make Big Brothers more and more irrelevant... of course they will do their best to still control us and stifle the channels for knowledge... but with more advances, more of their efforts will fail...
At present we are witnessing the realignment of world forces... and geopolitical alliances... But with technological advances all the efforts will fail...
At present peoples vs. Big Brother revolution is starting to unfold and the Western "Democracies"... Russian and Eastern oligarchies... Middles Eastern Islamist-Jihadists... Chinese and Far Eastern states are all after a piece of the GLOBAL PIE... but eventually I am optimistic, like Bill Gates, that the people will triumph and emancipate itself from the shackles of poverty and misery... that organized religion will retreat where it belongs... to the churches and mosques and synagogues and temples... that the Big Brother state will yield to the demands of the people and the 1% dictatorship will be eliminated once and for all...
But for ALL of this your inspiration and involvement is essential... to make a difference... and share and live in peace...

Similar billboards appeared in Los Angeles... and the Christian coalition wanted them removed...
To organized religion... be it Christian or Muslim or Jew or any other... FREE SPEECH is not relevant when it comes to their Gods and prophets...
If they are free to advertise their belief publicly in and around the churches and mosques and synagogues and temples... then the "other" people have the right to advertise their ideas...
Why no...? FREE SPEECH for all...
The "Christian coalition"... the Muslim believers... and all the rest of organized religious zealots...condemned the billboards and insisted that they should be banned...
Now,
This billboards are NOT OFFENSIVE as all of them claimed about Charlie Hebdo cartoons... and ALL of them want to limit our rights to speak up and share our ideas...
Besides Big Brother GREED, organized religion is the most dangerous force and threat to humanity... the Christians suppressed us through the ages by force... and now the Islamic-Jihadists are mimicking their Christian brothers and Israelis are trampling human rights... ALL IN PURSUIT OF PROFIT and to satisfy their GREED...
So much so that the nuclear scientist are worried and concerned about our future...

The world is closer to doomsday...
That's the message from the Bulletin of Atomic Scientists, which moved its iconic Doomsday Clock up two minutes on Thursday that is, yesterday... The clock now stands at three minutes to midnight, the "latest" it's been since 1984, when the Cold War between the U.S. and Soviet Union was a major issue.

A Russian soldier kills a family of 7 in their home in Armenia... The Russian military and government so far have refused to hand the soldier to Armenians...
And a Russian pro-government... racist group, the "Anti-Maidan -- Armenia" group responded to last week's demonstrations by calling the protesters "Nazis" -- the same term that Moscow's politicians and state-run media had used to refer to the opposition in Ukraine.
"Putin, send in the troops!" the group said on VKontakte. "All of the Russian-speaking population in Armenia is now in danger!" The group also proclaimed: "Russia is Permyakov, and Permyakov is Russia."
It was not immediately clear whether the group was created for satirical purposes, but the posts drew outrage from opposition Russian politician Boris Nemtsov.
"When the Anti-Maidan pro-Kremlin movement declares Permyakov ... to be 'a prisoner of conscience' what are they counting on?" Nemtsov said on his Facebook page last week. "On the love of the Armenian people? Or on seeing Russians cursed even by the citizens of Armenia who have so far been friendly?"
Nemtsov also suggested that the group was aiming to incite a conflict, while the "Kremlin is silently condoning them."

A manhunt was underway in the Shirak region of Armenia for Permyakov, who deserted his post at the 102nd Russian military base in Gyumri and went on a rampage, killing six members of an Armenian family, among them a two-year old girl, on Jan. 12. A six-month old infant survived the attack but is in critical condition at a local hospital, news agencies reported.

Granted
there are extremists in Ukraine... But they do not represent the Ukrainian people... the majority of the people want to be free and leave in PEACE... side by side with their Russian friends and neighbours...
The Nazis in Ukraine are a marginal minority... I do not agree with them... but I respect the Ukrainian peoples right to live in peace according to their wishes...
Indeed, the Ukrainian President is in error espousing the Nazi minority and rewarding them...
But that is Big Brother behaviour...just like ANY OTHER BIG BROTHER...
The Russian Big Brtoher propagands was in full swing... and on full display after President Petro Poroshenko presented a Ukrainian passport to someone who, according to human rights activists, is a "Belarusian neo-Nazi".
The Ukrainian leader handed out medals on 5 December to fighters who had tenaciously defended the main airport in the eastern region of Donetsk from being taken over by Russian-backed separatists.
Among the recipients was Serhiy Korotkykh, a Belarusian national, to whom Mr Poroshenko awarded Ukrainian citizenship, praising his "courageous and selfless service".
The Russian Big brothers have learned well from the "Western Democracies" and they have tramples all laws and human behaviour...
As the West attacked Iraq and initiated the "Arab Spring", which backfired on the West... The Russians have attacked Georgia and Ukraine... and this will eventually backfire on them...
The Islamist-Jihadist are scrambling not to be left behind... so they are attacking their own people and displaying religious extremism... The arrogance of the "Western democracies", the lawlessness of the Russian oligarchs, the inhumane and barbaric brutality of the Islamist-Jihadists have the same source... GREED... and these three anti-heroes are from the same club...
