Happened yesterday...In Prague...
An ordinary beginning…a very humble start…
But people are GOOD at heart…
People are ingenious and want to help…
At schools and university people
should learn cooperation…and not competition…People should learn to help…from
their parents and their teachers…
The Big Brother macho competitions
lead to war…
People should learn to share…
This is the story of ONE man's effort...to make a difference...

Sir Nicholas
Winton awarded with Order of the White Lion in Czech Republic...
Born to
Jewish parents.
The
family converted to Christianity…and Nicholas was baptised…
Did not
graduate any famous school…
Worked
his way through banks in London, Germany, France…and became a broker at the London
Stock Exchange
A life Changing Call...
Christmas
1938…
Nicholas
plans for vacation to Switzerland…for skiing…
But ,
A call
from his friend, Martin Blake, make him change his plans…
Instead
of Swiss mountains… He travels to Prague…to help children… during the war…
Single-handed…established
an organization to help children during war time…
He wanted to
ACT… He wanted to get INVOLVED…He wanted to make a DIFFERENCE…
His office…A dining
room table in his hotel…
The
politicians hindered his efforts…So he FAKED IDs and travel documents for
children…
He saved 669 children…
The silence is broken...and the world applauds his effort...
He kept a
scrap book with names of the children…but also kept silence about his work…
In 1988 his
wife finds the scrapbook in their attic…with names of children and names of
their parents…and the names of the foster parents…
BBC television
initiated a program, That’s Life, and
acquainted the world to the wonderful work that Nicholas had done…during the
war…
Sir Nicholas received the honour from Czech President Milos Zeman
This was just yesteday...
This was just yesteday...
The WORLD applauds...the tremendous effort...
At times the effort faltered... There were unsuccessful crossings
of the channel ... Some dispatches of children failed ...
But...
He did not give up...

Czechoslovak children.

and the simple truth is that it is NOT A
MONEY MAKER...
and most probably your teacher did not
know about it or did not care about it...
Not caring is more guilty than not
knowing...
After all, Pontus Pilate is as guilty as all
the rest...

travel from Prague to the
Netherlands and to London...
After all no one needs permission from Big Brothers to be good and to do good...
That permission is given by God
and
God asks us to do GOOD...
