Malala and Kailash Satyarthi win Nobel Peace Prize

They asked the 17 year old...What will you say to Taliban if they confront you again...Here is her answer.

“I’ll tell him how important education is and that I even want education for your children

As well,” she said.

“I’ll tell him, ‘That’s what I want to tell you; now do what you want.’ ”

Kailash Satyarthi and Malala Yousafzai were recognised for their efforts to improve child rights

Pakistani child education activist Malala Yousafzai and Kailash Satyarthi, an Indian child rights campaigner, have jointly won the Nobel Peace Prize.

At the age of just 17, Malala is the youngest ever recipient of the prize.

The teenager was shot in the head by Taliban gunmen in October 2012 for campaigning for girls' education. She now lives in Birmingham in the UK.

The Nobel committee praised the pair's "struggle against the suppression of children and young people".

Mr Satyarthi has maintained the tradition of Mahatma Gandhi and headed various forms of peaceful protests, "focusing on the grave exploitation of children for financial gain," the committee said at the Nobel Institute in Oslo.

The 60-year-old founded Bachpan Bachao Andolan, or the Save the Childhood Movement, which campaigns for child rights and an end to human trafficking.

"Kailash's life-long work in India fighting child labour -- which I have had the privilege to see at first hand -- complements Malala's work standing up for girls' rights to education from Pakistan to the rest of the world."

Pope Francis and Edward Snowden were two other nominees for the PEACE prize... 

The Pope is opening up the Church to ALL people and is more inclusive than his predecessors... He has done more to include the poor and to change the dogmatic vision on family and society...

Snowden opened up the secret spying missions of governments and Big Brother...on the people...

Both worthy efforts...But the efforts of Malala and Satyarthi on behalf of young women and children...is indeed examples to uphold and follow...

A 17 year old wins the Nobel for Peace... That means all my previous students and all young people CAN do much more... Be inspired...Get involved...and make a difference...

All of us need inspiration...

But being challenged by youth is indeed magnificent... 

I always wanted a challenge from my pupils ... It always makes thinking more fun and visionary... The youth have an unharnessed way of looking at things... and the world will be much better following their perspective of change and diversity and inclusion... Students in Hong Kong ... The protesting youth in Ferguson and St. Louis and Malala and the youth of the world... is worth listening to...

You may be a peacock and enjoy the vainglorious moment...for few minutes...and have fun for few minutes more...and show your mustache and beard and have a laugh...

Or...You may look the other way and cover your nakedness with a leaf...

But all these "funny" ways are for a fleeting moment...Now you see them...and now you don't...
