HUMAN VALUES AND HUMAN DIGNITY MUST COME FIRST....

World Literature as exposing historical facts and reaffirming human values...
Nobel literature laureate Guenter Grass, best known around the world for his novel "The Tin Drum."

Grass focused in much of his work on learning from the horror of war and genocide by exploring motifs from his childhood city of Danzig, which is now Gdansk, Poland.

During the Nazi era, ethnic Poles and Jews were persecuted and deported from the multicultural city, at a time when they faced the possibility of mass murder.

"In his excavation of the past, Günter Grass goes deeper than most and he unearths the intertwined roots of good and evil," the Nobel committee wrote, when it awarded him the literature prize in 1999.
A scene from the film version of Grass' breakthrough novel, "The Tin Drum"
Good writers are true to the people and produce committed literature to remind the horrific experiences of the past and project a glorious future...
If you have not... You MUST read The Tin Drum... It will be a fantastically fascinating experience for all...
Read it and grow with the experience...
I will read it another time... Horror and atrocities and brutal genocide under the cover of war is one of the despicable and stupid inventions of the human imagination... But still there are people who advocate war... instead of negotiating with Iran, for example, they want war instead...
Oriana Fallaci, a fascinating and popular Italian journalist and activist, became an icon by skewering world leaders and called them "the bastards who decide our lives..."
Some still attempt to find good things in war... of course some will benefit... of course some will get rich and richer... but thousands... millions will be killed from both sides and no matter what... nothing compensates the death... But still reporters and writes will come up with pretexts to glorify war and please the Big Brothers Without Borders...
Read the report below...

Say “modern warfare” and automatically people conjure images of widespread destruction — tangled masses of metal, torn-up roads and entire neighborhoods leveled. But world wars have also been times when the most creative minds were given access to resources to turn improbable, and often very practical, ideas into reality. In the middle of the First World War, Germany and Austria-Hungary were in crisis. Between a shipping blockade and munitions production, coal was hard to come by, and governments needed to cut back on its use in burning street lamps. So they reached for a decades-old theory by a New Zealand academic for extending the sunlit workday. Both countries put daylight saving time into practice in 1916, and Allied countries followed suit as the war continued, with the U.S. even calling what we know now as DST “war time.”

Shrewd entrepreneurs were constantly on the lookout for other prewar inventions they could turn into wartime best sellers. Products from zippers and tea bags to sanitary towels and wristwatches all got picked up by various militaries during the wars.

The implication...
War is good and even beneficial... and cunning and shrewd people will benefit from it and will invent new things...
STUPID LOGIC... and Günter Grass refused it... other Nobel Laurates refused the "beneficial and profitable war idea too... Like Orkan Pamuk when he wrote about the minorities in Turkey and the genocidal policy of the regime during WWI and like Sartre who chided and condemned "Western democracies" for their excessive force and abuses of individual rights...
Competition is good, but competition combined with greed and dressed up with the profit motive is not only dangerous but not human too...
Competing in sports is good, but is an athlete cheats and builds up his success on drugs-steroids... then that's not healthy... That's exactly what has happened to capitalist economy... Capitalism based on free markets and competition and governed by the "invisible hand" is good... but there are too many cheaters and too many GREEDY and INHUMANE Big Brothers...

Reaffirm Human Values...

Ukraine crisis: Fighting continues despite new push to enforce truce..................!

The above is a headline I copied from Big Brother media... But as far as I can grasp, there is no such thing as "Ukrainian crisis..."

The tragedy in Ukraine is that the NATO-West and the Russian-East are competing for hegemony... and the Ukrainian people are paying the price...

Some Ukrainian oligarchs side with the NATO-West and some side with the Russian-East... and that creates not only conflict but also bloodshed...

The reports are that fighting continued overnight between government troops and pro-Russian rebels in east Ukraine, despite renewed diplomatic efforts to enforce a truce...

But neither the West nor the East are interested much in any truce... and the people suffer...

Some may side with the NATO-West "democracy" and some may side with the Russian-East oligarchy... But the apparatchiks are the same on both sides... They do not care about the people... They want to satisfy their greed and profit more at the expense of the Ukrainian people... I will side neither with the Big Brothers of the NATO-West nor the Big Brother oligarchs of the East... I will side with the Ukrainian people... ALL foreign interests should leave the people alone... and then the Ukrainian people will create and recreate and the Ukrainian culture, which I love very much, will flourish again and Ukraine will prosper once more...
LEAVE THE PEOPLE ALONE... AND IN PEACE...

 Reaffirm Human Values...

I love tennis... It is a noble sports... It is a graceful game and above all, their is no violence involved in it... The competition is civilized, like it should be...

Andy Murray, one of the top players married on the weekend... and check the costume... GREAT!

True to his roots and culture... Andy Murray dressed up in traditional Scottish costume for his wedding...
BRAVO...!

Cultural diversity enriches the Global Village... and we should celebrate ALL the cultures instead of fighting for hegemony and supremacy...

The United Kingdom is richer for the different cultures that are respected and flourish within its borders...

Respect for each other and peace and harmony should lead us to a conflict free future...

Very Courageous and magnificent...

Uphold Human Values and Human Dignity...

I do not care much about elections... But when Hillary Clinton announced her candidacy... I was happy...
As far as I am concerned... She and the other Big Brother candidates are the same... But the difference is in the gender...
In this day and age... when Islamist-Jihadists still want to enslave women... and deny them their rights, when in India and Afghanistan and Pakistan they rape women JUST FOR THE POWER AND FUN OF IT... In a world where people throw acid on women just because they are attending school... In a world where women are treated as sex object... and bought and sold just for sex... where women are denied equal pay...
May be Hillary Clinton's election will make a difference in perception and in Big Brother politics...
Maybe... Just maybe...
I have a wife and daughters... I am sure you have wives and mothers and daughters too... and for their sake I will support her second adventure and hope that the glass ceiling will be shattered this time around...
Just hope... and dream for a better tomorrow... for a rain of roses and peace and harmony...

Turkey recalls its Vatican ambassador after Pope Francis uses the word "genocide" to describe killings of Armenians under Ottoman rule in WW1.

The Islamic-fascist regime of Turkey should comprehend that human rights and human dignity are not religious values... and the Pope's "Genocide" comments were not because Armenians are Christians... but because they are human beings...
The Islamist-Jihadists, the Islamist-fascists and ALL Islamic dogmatists should understand that they CANNOT trample human values and then hide behind religion and accuse others of "islamophobia" or "racism"... When they murder in the name of Islam... when they rape in the name of religion... when they behead in the name of religous rights... when they destroy monuments in the name of Islam and when they commit GENOCIDE against people be that Christian Armenians or Islamic Kurds or Yazidies... The Pope has the human obligation to declare that what they are doing is wrong...
Trukey and its Islamist-fascist Big Brothers should not blame the Pope, but they should look inside... in themselves and instead of denying the Armenian Genocide, they should accept the historical truth and reconcile themselves with their past... Then they will be accepted by the civilized world and the Pope as people who uphold human values and human dignity...
The Turkish rulers should look inside and accept their genocidal policies against Armenians and all minorities... up until present time...
Pope is not the one who should be blamed... The Pope did just his human duty... The Turkish regime and all those who support the Islamist-Jihadists should look inside and learn to uphold human values and human dignity...

Below is a statement issued by Obama... when he was a senator and not the president... Read carefully what he promised...

"As a U.S. Senator, I have stood with the Armenian American community in calling for Turkey's acknowledgment of the Armenian Genocide...the Armenian Genocide is not an allegation, a personal opinion, or a point of view, but rather a widely documented fact...An official policy that calls on diplomats to distort the historical facts is an untenable policy...as President I will recognize [the] Armenian Genocide."

A French memorial to the Armenian victims which more than 20 states, including France, Germany, Canada and Russia, regard as geno

But as is the case with most Big Brothers, when he was elected... he reneged...
I hope he will follow Pope's example and not be broken by the Turkish Islamist-fascist regime again...
Maybe this year the Pope will be a good example for him...
Maybe Human values will come first...
Maybe GREED and PROFIT will not trump human values and human dignity...
Maybe...
