Kids have to enjoy themselves...with Toys...
NOT GUNS...
Today I woke up early… If I was not retired, I would have put myself in order, dress up and head to “staff meeting” and get ready for next Tuesday when the schools will open in Canada... But, I am retired…
So I dressed up in shorts and T-shirt and headed out
for hiking in the hills…The sun was not up yet and the morning was a touch
chilly… But you get used to it…In the hills there were no traffic noise and no
hydrocarbons…It was good and enjoyable…The passersby had their ears plugged
with their music…but I listened to chirping birds and smelled the trees…
I was lovely…It beats the staff meeting hands down… On the hills noise pollution
is not allowed – cars and admin and teachers…are far away…I do not need them
all… I don’t need a car to commute… my legs are good…and I walk…and if the
distance is a bit too much…Public transport is wonderful…both cheap and less pollution…
On
the hills I noticed a middle aged man…naked waist up…and I wondered why he is
allowed to pollute the scenery… Why I have to look at things which I ugly…and bulging
with years of neglect and overeating… While returning from the hills I noticed
a memorial fountain…in front of a house…It was a memorial fountain dedicated to
the dog that the owner lost a year ago…It was something that I had never encountered…A
memorial fountain for a dog…! The fountain was about 12 inches high and was
meant for other dogs…
The hills are beautiful and serene…away from the noise of
cars and staff meetings…But there are funny distractions too…the half-naked man
polluting the scenery with his bulging belly and sagging nipples… and the dog
fountain in memory of a dog that passed away…
Besides the staff meeting…Yesterday I was thinking of kids and guns…and gun violence…not because I love guns…But because I love kids… Kids are supposed to grow up while enjoying their toys and their friends... And most do...
Yesterday I leaned that there are places called "Bullets and Burgers"...where you relax and shoot guns too...! But I please explain...How can shooting a gun be relaxing... Bullets and burgers sound oxymoronically absurd... After all, guns are not toys...and guns kill...and kids should not be obliged to follow their elders and emulate their stupidity... When parents want to behave like "funny" people...It is their choice... They should not impose that behaviour on their kids... They should not let their kids in a hot car...They will suffocate... They should not deny them education...They will grow up messed up and confused... They should not let them play with guns... They will grow up to be killers of animals and humans too... Why parents want their kids to play with a Uzi submachinegun is above my intelligence of a mortal being ... When I started teaching I started the first day with lecture about math and logic and thinking and reasoning... A introduced syllogisms... Like,
Guns are made for killing
Since Uzi is a Gun
Then Uzis are made for killing...
Now the extension of this syllogism may be;
Kids must play with toys
Since Uzi is not a toy
Then kids should not play with Uzis
Or,
Parents have to nurture Since playing with guns is counter-nurturing Then Parents should not let their kids near guns…

Now Read the following Item which was in the news yesterday and stayed with me till now...I slept with it and carried it with me to the hills for hiking...
Young Israeli checking the Uzi at an Israeli army show...and soldiers being trained on Uzi....
Why a young kid...be he in Israel or in the U.S. or in Canada...play and toy with a gun...with a Uzi is way, way above my mortal intelligence...

Child firing Uzi at Ariz.
shooting range accidentally kills instructor, police say
Why will a 9-year-old girl or boy play with a gun is incomprehensible...? Why parents will let their kid play with guns beats human logic...?
Should not parents nurture...Do they want the kid to carry the gun to school too...? Isn't it their constitutional right...by the 2nd Amendment...?
But the kid is not to blame...The parents told her that it is "fun"...
The parents did not nurture her properly...
And now ...continue reading
(CNN) -- A 9-year-old girl learning to fire a
submachine gun accidentally killed her instructor at a shooting range when the
weapon recoiled over her shoulder, according to Arizona authorities.
The
instructor, 39-year-old Charles Vacca, died at a hospital Monday night after he
was shot in the head.
The
Mohave County Sheriff's Office said the girl was with her parents. The three
reside in New Jersey.
The
website of Bullets and Burgers, the shooting range where the accident happened,
says children between the ages of 8 and 17 can shoot a weapon if accompanied by
a parent or guardian.
Police
said the weapon was an Uzi, an Israeli-made submachine gun that some experts
say is the wrong choice of firepower for instructing a child.
Indeed the "second Amendment" gives rights ...But then God gives us brain too...to use and to think...and to nurture...and to help the kid grow up as a responsible member of society...
If guns kill, and they do, why a child will play with it...?
If guns kill, and they do, why a responsible citizen will play with it...?
I do not trust Big Brother too...I have all kinds of memories...and I do not trust any bureaucracy... be it governmental, religious, or educational...
I believe that power corrupts, and I insist that absolute power corrupts absolutely...
But carrying guns and playing with them is not the answer...That's what the Jihadist ISIS is doing...Kidnapping kids 9-10-11-12 years old and making them killers of other human beings...
This kid is smiling because he has a gun... and the gun manufacturer is smiling because he has another person that will grow up to play with guns...He is smiling because he will have another dollar...

This
week, a nine-year-old girl firing an Uzi submachine gun accidentally shot to
death her weapons instructor. Not all Americans grow up shooting guns - but
those who do often start young.
When
he was five years old, Dan Baum started shooting guns.
The
author of Gun Guys: A Road Trip has crisscrossed the country learning about
America's gun culture. He believes shooting can teach children valuable lessons
about respect and discipline.
"It
can be a great thing for kids," he says. "What you're saying to a kid
is, 'This is an extremely dangerous device I am putting in your hands, and I am
trusting you to use it properly.'"
This gun loving author thinks that "shooting can teach children valuable lessons about respect and discipline."
What else...?
All along in my life I was thinking that parents can teach respect and discipline ti their kids...and NOT SHOOTING...
All along I was thinking that parents and teachers and schools and churches ... teach respect of each other and discipline and good behaviour were non-violent societal norms...
Are we supposed to ban the books from schools and introduce guns...to "teach children valuable lessons about respect and discipline" ...

- And I know now why the schools in U.S. and Canada are failing... After all we used books...and NOT GUNS...to teach...
- But I am retired and I did not attend the staff meeting today... I went hiking where stupid ideas do not pollute the surrounding...
Now follow the story below...
Surveillance footage is said to prove that
John Crawford, pictured above, was holding a toy gun when police shot him dead at a
Walmart store
A young man holding a toy rifle in a Wal-Mart was shot and killed on Tuesday, Aug. 26, by police in the Dayton suburb of Beavercreek, Ohio... John Crawford, 22, was carrying a toy gun he picked up in the store, alarming two other shoppers... But the security camera at Wal-mart shows that the young man was holding the gun and the barrel was pointing to the ground and in there were other shoppers around who were not bothered at all and were checking items from the shelves... But the police come in and shoot him even after he yells ... "It is a toy...!"

After reading about the 9-year-old girl with the Uzi...at the shooting range... After reading the gun-loving-author...I was under the impression that guns are toys and toys are allowed...in the Wal-mart...
So...Why the cops shot and killed the 22 year old with the toy gun...?
What does the Big Brother logic tell us...
Power corrupts
and
Absolute power corrupts absolutely...
