If You care Show It...and better ACT on it...
See the three incidents...below...They bring out a very interesting and intriguing situation...
1. The Pope calls James Foley’s
family....
ROCHESTER, N.H. — Pope Francis has
called the family of an American journalist whose videotaped beheading by
Islamic State Jihadists has touched off torrents of outrage around the world.
James Foley was covering the fighting in Syria when he was abducted on Thanksgiving Day 2012. The 40-year-old journalist hadn’t been seen until a video of his killing surfaced Tuesday on the Internet.

The Pope has called the family...That is great!
I wish he would ACT on it too...May be call for the Church support for the victims of these Jihadists...
There are many victims...and there are many needs...even today the news is revealing that the Jihadists have isolated a town and are ready to massacre the inhabitants...who in this case happen to be the same religion...Islam...!
2. The Attorney General of the U.S. visits Ferguson and tries to calm down the citizens...he said "I understand your mistrust..."
He met students, and leaders of the community and the police...He met also with the Brown family and expressed his grief for the lose of their son...
The Attorney General with young people in Ferguson....
Attorney General with young people in Ferguson...
Excellent gesture...Good politics and community work...
The people of Ferguson were much calmer after the visit...and full of anticipation for the coming days and expectations for JUSTICE...
The Attorney General carried the day and the people in Ferguson applauded him for that...
3. The president of the U.S. called a press conference after the beheading of the journalist.
He talked about Ferguson...He expressed his outrage for the beheading of the journalist...He expressed his indignation and called attention to the brutal beheading of the journalist...whose only "crime" was to be American...
The President said that he will continue bombing the Jihadists...and extend that to Syria... All very good...
But then the President did something else...
Read below...
President Obama has taken a
lot of grief for reading his statement about the killing of James Foley
and then going to play golf. At least one newspaper put a picture on its front
page of the President laughing in his golf cart next to a picture of Foley's
grieving parents.
I think to say the least...this is very insensitive...Fist condemn and then return to the gold course...
Do not misunderstand...I did support Obama ... For the whole day I suspended my Math lessons and hooked the lap top to the internet and opened my class for all students who wanted to be part of history and follow the inauguration...
Being the first black president was unprecedented...and I wanted the students to share and appreciate the moment...
Returning to the golf course is not presidential... and I share the indignation of those you were frustrated and ashamed...
Check what the British Prime Minister did...

Check what the British Prime Minister did...
Cameron cut short his
vacation and returned to London for emergency meetings. He indicated quite
clearly that he was prepared to expand anti-terrorist policies and make them
even more aggressive.
And then critics of the President wrote...
As I have written before, from Boko
Haram in Nigeria to Hamas in Palestine to ISIS in Syria and Iraq, we are seeing
the same kind of transnational religious radicalism metastasize into a deep
commitment to destroy our way of life.
As Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of
Staff Gen. Martin Dempsey said, this is "an apocalyptic, end-of-days
strategic vision that will eventually have to be defeated" -- and a vision
that could "fundamentally alter the face of the Middle East and create a
security environment that would certainly threaten us in many ways."
The above is from Newt Gingrich...Smart fellow and very logical in his thoughts...though.at times, extreme in his social outlook...
The President after his news brief and condemnation of the beheading...
Grow up Brother...!
If you care show it...If you care ACT...

Just to follow up yesterday's blog post...
Yesterday, most of the time I thought about the optics that the President generated by abandoning people to their grief and returning to his golf course... There is an incongruity in what he said and what he did afterwords...
I am 100% certain that his intentions are good...and believe that he will go after the Jihadist assassins...I believe that he will bomb the hell out out the Jihadists both in Iraq and in Syria... He will do ALL of these...and I am cetrain that he cares...too...
But to return to the golf course...demonstrates a detachment fro the people... and makes him like any Big Brother detached from the people and the daily life of the people...
The Pope talked to the family in grief and then prayed for them...
The Attorney General met with the people in Ferguson and shared the grief of the family...
The British Prime Minister canceled his vacation and returned to his office for work...
The President of the U.S. of A. gave a news brief and then returned to his golf course...
There is an obvious contradiction in the optics and in the behaviour...
If YOU care ... SHOW IT....
Share the grief and show sympathy...
And better... ACT on it...show commitment and get engaged with the daily life of the community...
Otherwise as one critic pointed out...It looks like Marie Antoinette...the funny queen who said..."Let them eat cake"... When confronted with a crowd of hungry people who were asking for "bread"...
