The Silent Majority is IRRELEVANT... Get Involved and Make a Difference...

In One of the Posts this week I asked why people pay millions of dollars for a painting while people are starving... and a dear student-friend wrote to me...

"The people who can afford to make a difference don't really care about making a difference.  They are more concerned with the material.  Technically, they aren't hurting anyone...that's how they comfort themselves...but they can't recognize that they aren't helping anyone either.  I know some of these people who live in the mansions that cost millions of dollars and who join the expensive social clubs...they aren't bad people, just ignorant of how they can use that money to make the lives of others better."

Of course they are ignorant... of course they do not care... but these are "educated" people with lots of money... as a human being we expect them to care... and we expect them to behave like humans and look after their fellow people...

But they do not care... because of their vanity and greed... They have the potential, all of us have the potential, to be good... But action speak louder...

As human beings ALL of us are endowed with goodness... but that is just like money in the bank... if one does not take the money out and spread around... that sum will stay in the bank and be just another figure... just another piece of paper...

Goodness must be spread around to have any meaning...

So this weekend be inspired... and get involved... and make a difference...

Maximum Speed Limit...

The maximum speed limit on most California highways is 65 mph. You may drive 70 mph where posted. Unless otherwise posted, the maximum speed limit is 55 mph on two-lane undivided highways and for vehicles towing trailers.

Other speed limit signs are posted for the type of roads and traffic in each area. All speed limits are based on ideal driving conditions. Construction zones usually have reduced speed zones.

High speed increases your stopping distance. The faster you go, the less time you have to avoid a hazard or collision. The force of a 60 mph crash is not just twice as great as a 30 mph crash; it’s four times as great!

Taking a road trip last week, I noticed that my minivan's speedometer goes to 160 mph. That is nuts. I would estimate that for 99 miles out of 100, most drivers do not go over 85 mph, and for 99.9999 miles out of 100 they do not go over 100 mph. I would also estimate that I would need to attach a jet engine to my minivan to get it above 130 mph. That means that over a third of the speedometer is almost completely superfluous and dangerous too...
I can think of a couple of reasons why speedometers might go so high, and Google suggests both reasons the most often: (1) Car companies have figured out that people want to see high numbers on them because it suggests a powerful engine, so they exaggerate the figures a bit for marketing, or (2) seeing the needle at 70 mph right near the middle of the dial is better for attention to the road or psychological justification of cruising speed or something.
But does anyone know the answer, through either a design theory or marketing class, or history of the auto companies, or a consumer study or some other more definitive source?

Banking giant HSBC helped wealthy clients across the world evade hundreds of millions of pounds worth of tax...

The bank now faces criminal investigations in the US, France, Belgium and Argentina, but not in the UK, where HSBC is based.

The Big brothers, the 1%, evaded taxes... and through investigations they will be "absolved"... After all, these people have the money... they can afford to hire big money lawyers... and they may be "exonerated"... 

But the truth is they evaded taxes by the help of other Big Brothers...  Big Brothers helping each other...

But if you or I ... the common, ordinary people had committed the tax evasion... by now you/I would be indicted and be in jail and pay hefty fines too...

Justice in so called Western "democracies" can be bought too... Justice EVERYWHERE in the world is just like any other commodity... Can be bought and sold...
It is two tier justice system everywhere... West-East or North-South... the 1% is treated differently than the rest of us...
Democracy is just a sham... a veneer to hide the reality and the REALITY IS UGLY... NEEDS TO BE CLEANED...
JESUS HAS TO WHIP THE PADDLERS OUT OF THE TEMPLE... AGAIN... 
THE YOUTH OF THE WORLD IS TO EMULATE JESUS AND WHIP THE ASS OF THE 1%... ESTABLISH A BETTER DEMOCRATIC NORMS...

On the other hand...

So when you become useless to the Bigger Brothers... then you will be dumped... and you will be dispensable... You may be executed too...

Saudi Historian Says U.S. Women Drive Because They Don't Care If They're Raped

Saleh al-Saadoon... won the ass-hole-of-the-week prize from this blog...

A Saudi Arabian historian trying to justify the ban on female drivers says “women who drive in other countries such as the U.S. don't care if they're raped and that sexual violence “is no big deal to them.”

Saleh al-Saadoon claimed in a recent TV interview that women can be raped when a car breaks down, but unlike other countries, Saudi Arabia protects its women from that risk by not allowing them to drive in the first place.

"They don't care if they are raped on the roadside, but we do," al-Saadoon said on Saudi Rotana Khalijiyya TV.

“Hold on. Who told you they don’t care about getting raped on the roadside?” asked the host, a woman who is not named in the transcript.

“It’s no big deal for them beyond the damage to their morale,” al-Saadoon replied. “In our case, however, the problem is of a social and religious nature.”

He is even suggesting a "solution"...

I guess what he means is that Saudi Arabia will entice foreign females as drivers and then rape them too...

What planet Saudi and Turkish historians are living on...?

It is amazing that these people will suggest that women do not mind being raped... Is he a historian or a stupid clown...?

Yesterday... in the U.S. 5000 mourners condemned the murder of 3 Muslim students... I agree with them... It maybe that it was a "hate crime" and I will condemn it... I will condemn it even if it was not a "hate crime"...

But I would also love to see the 5000 mourners condemning the violence and killing in Denmark too... 

Where are they...?

The venue where the Free Speech advocates had gathered...is riddled with bullets...

If the Muslims of the West- in Europe and North America... in fact, everywhere... if they want to be credible... they have to come out and condemn the violence committed in their name by these Islamist-Jihadists...

I support FREE SPEECH... even if the person is insulting my core beliefs...

There are no limits for Free Speech...

The governments, the religious heads, the political leaders... and ALL... have no right killing people or imprisoning reprorters because they do not like what people are saying... or they do not like what reporters are writing...

Swedish cartoonist Lars Vilks has faced death threats for many years

Gunmen killed one person and injured three police officers during a free speech debate in Copenhagen attended by a controversial Swedish cartoonist, officials said.

The French ambassador was also present at the debate.

Reports say up to 40 shots were fired during the attack and a manhunt has been launched.

Swedish cartoonist Lars Vilks has faced death threats after drawing caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad.

Let the Muslim "silent majority" come out and condemn the attack in Denmark...

When George was a child he wanted to see if he could fly. He made wings from curtains and climbed to the top of his roof, and then jumped off the roof. He nearly broke his leg but, undeterred, he eventually made this light aircraft.

He put the airframe together from aluminium found in metal workshops in his hometown of Juba, and he imported two small petrol engines to power it. The pilot’s seat is a garden chair.  The only thing is, George hasn’t been granted permission to test fly the plane, so he can only taxi it round his own back garden. A very cheap and ingenious way to go around...  Permit George to test fly his plane...  ...And the marvels of Mother Nature... This time in Antarctica...
