How is your Sunday...?

Sunday...
A day of rest... in preparation to begin the cycle again... on Monday...
I always start the day with the Holy Mass... It allows extra time for my sleepy brain cells to wake up...If they ever will... Coffee is good... and in celebration of Sunday... I add few drops of liqueur in it... and I remember Jesus... "This is my blood..." and the rest...
The music and the coffee+cognac blesses the early hours of Sunday morning... It is beautiful and tranquil and charming... I am by myself... my wife is not home yet from her trip...
Lovely PEACE... and the morning lingers and the peace rises in curls of aromatic incense... and soothes my still dreaming brain cells...

I hope they dream all Sunday long... But no chance... I have promised to go hiking on the Hollywood hills...
The coffee is over and my ride is nearby... and on we go for another enchantment over the hills and breath freely... without the sounds of the city... without the soot of the city...

This week was Confucius Institute Day...
All over the world... We celebrated the birth of the great sage... and amazing teacher... He said the measure of our knowledge is to realize how ignorant we are... and on the top of the Hollywood hills, I remembered my students of the past...and those who are struggling in universities... and I wondered if they will ever realize how ignorant they are... How ignorant we are...!
On Sundays... on top of the hills... and I looked at the world below... and I wondered...

And CConfuciusinsisted....
Indeed be the change... and ACT on it... and the youth in Hong Kong is acting... and wants to be the change ...that they want to see...
In the thousands... it is Monday over there now...and
They ACT... Courageous ...Idealistic ... and the vision of future in their eyes...
But, the Big Brothers... But the Big Sisters...
Hong Kong police have used tear gas to disperse thousands of pro-democracy protesters near the government complex, after a week of escalating tensions.
After a day of tense protests in Hong Kong in which at least 34 people were injured, organizers called on tens of thousands of pro-democracy demonstrators in the Chinese territory to head home late Sunday.
But as Sunday became early Monday, it appeared many of the protesters were set to continue to jam streets of the business district.
The sometimes violent demonstrations follow a week of student-led boycotts and protests against what many see as the encroachment of China's political will on Hong Kong's governance. They were responding to China's decision to allow only Beijing-vetted candidates to stand in the city's elections for chief executive, Hong Kong's top civil position.
and the peace rises in curls of aromatic incense... dissipates and the harsh reality of the Global Village settles down...once again...
People WANT democracy...But the Big Brothers and the Big Sisters in Beijing insist on Democracy on their terms...
The Biggies define democracy...the biggies will grant us democracy ONLY if it agrees with their GREED...with their PROFIT...

Chinese all over the world celebrated Confucius Institute Day this week... in colour ...
Confucius was a great sage, a great educator, and one of the most influential and respected philosophers in world history. As a teacher, he believed people have integrity and dignity and are equal and educable; and there is abundant potential in each student, that there are no class distinctions, and that by nature all people are one and the same. In order to honoring his memory,  Santa Clara County Board of Education and County Superintendent of Schools proclaim September 28, the birthday of one of the world’s greatest teachers Confucius, as Confucius Day.  Please join the celebration of event this Sunday morning at 10am in Cupertino to celebrate this special day for this greatest teacher in China.

You attended school... and now think for yourself... be independent...stop leaking asses... and stand on your own two feet...

You will comprehend the beauty of the Global Village...

ONLY if you ACT...

and, why not...? ACT for WORLD PEACE...

Follow the advice of the great sage...and embrace his vision...

Reflection is noble, he says...
Imitation is like cheating, he exhorts ...
Experience is the bitterest... Because by ACTING you will never forget... Because by ACTING you will become a human being...

And you will realize that you will fall...by ACTING...after all the great sage admits...It's the "bitterest"....and then you rise again... and then you will be much stronger... and you will be the phoenix rising from the ashes...
You will triumph...

I read a report today... That 1 out of 5 kids

in the U.S. live in poverty...

and  read more... that...

One-third of the world's food is wasted - and confusing

expiry labels often contribute to the volume of groceries

in the rubbish bin. Is there a better way to separate good

food from bad

Indeed this was going to the dump...

...And the truth...  Americans throw away nearly half(40%)

of their food every year. Americans (a regular family of

four) throw way $2,275 worth of food annually.

...And the truth...
...And MORE of the truth... and the hidden irony... that ALL of  us are overweight too...
And learn from the sage...and ACT...
