It has always bothered me...

Why the men should be dressed up and the women expose their skin? 

It may be argued that they are doing it voluntarily... I will argue that they are exposing themselves so as they will have jobs... If they are not exposed... they will be marginalized...

As far as I can see... This is the most subtle for of MALE VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN... 

The patriarchal society and our norms have conditioned women to expose them selves while the men are buttoned up to their neck...

It is exploitation of women and perpetuating the inequality between genders and propagating violence against women...

But, on the other hand they do promote other values too... like defending free speech...

I would have liked to see him also protect his wife... in dress code...

I do not oppose women exposing themselves... but I would change the social norm so as man will throw the tie away too... May be men should expose themselves too...

Equality in dress code will be a welcomed change...

Ali Farzat is a cartoonist and opposes the Syrian regime...

He has all the right in his convictions... He has all the rights in his vision and cartoons...

I may not agree with his vision, after all all those opposed to the Syrian regime, are persecuting the Christian minorities... and bombing churches..., but I will defend his right to express himself without any restrictions...

I realize that he is a cartoonist for one of the papers published by the reactionary regimes in the Persian-Arabian Gulf... so he has to satisfy his masters... and ridicule the Syrian regime... I wish he would ridicule the Islamist-Jihadists too...  

Ali Farzat was beaten by goons... Just like Charlie Hebdo was attacked by goons... and both are absolutely wrong...

Ali Farzat has all the right to express himself and the Syrian regime should tolerate that... But I wish Ali Ferzat will exercise his rights more and ridicule the Islamist-Jihadists too...

The Islamists are bombing churches... and beheading journalists... and raping women... and enslaving girls... 

I wish Ali Farzat will espouse intellectual honesty... The regime is wrong... The Islamist-Jihadists are wrong too...

The Christians in the Middle east MUST be defended too... physically and spiritually...

I do not on Big Brothers... I have more confidence in the people...

The Syrian regime sucks... But that does not make the Islamist-Jihadists right...

I will not choose between evils... and i will not compromise people's rights to criticize and ridicule...

Charlie Hebdo ridiculed the Christians and the Muslims alike... 

That shows courage and intellectual honesty... may be Ali Farzat and the Big Brothers will learn from Charlie Hebdo... 

I wish Farzat will criticize the other side too...

The Syrian regime sucks... But the other side has committed abuses too... 

I will not change one for the other...

The Western "democracies" should be more careful in their policies... as it is proving itself in Iraq and in Libya and in the rest of the Middle East...

The Islamist-Jihadists are absolutely terrifying... Burning churches... raping women... enslaving girls and beheading all who oppose their way of life...

Indeed the pen will triumph at the end...
