Paradise Lost... And Not Regained...

When hell flared up in Paradise... and the flames engulfed it ALL...

Paradise Lost, and the dispute of the politicians

is irrelevant but deafening... They will never see beyond their profit and their greed... 

All houses were burned and nothing spared... People burned in their cars while escaping the fire... and politicians argued... is it the GLOBAL WARMING or MISMANAGEMENT OF FORESTS...?
Can't they just for once agree that MAYBE BOTH... why there should be a winner and a looser... 

Paradise is lost... and its treasures burned...  and peopled torched alive... in their cars... in their homes surrounded by their loved ones... and their pets... and their treasures... but the politicians dispute...
Is it the "mismanagement of the forests...?"
Or maybe, it is "global warming..."
What the fuck I care...? 
Seventy plus people are dead... more than a thousand are missing...
The 1% and their managers, the politicians, have a funny way of demonstrating their empathy... they have a disgusting way of showing that they care...
If the democracy sustained by the profit motive... nothing will change...
If greed will propel society "forward"... then all the 1% and their managers will say is "I am not my brother's keeper..."
I am frustrated... and angry... and I cannot do much... a penny here... a donation there... just an impotent patch work to pacify the emotions... until next time... when the drought creates another tinder box... and another paradise burns down and the 1% with their managers continue their dispute... 
Both parties are essentially the same... and nothing changes...

Aung San Suu Kyi was a hope on the horizon... and then she became the head of the political system... and then she was corrupted by the power she gained...
She managed and covered up the genocidal policies of the army... and villages were burned and people were massacred...  and more than 700 000 were driven out of their homes...
Aung San Suu Kyi even won the Nobel Peace prize, but then metamorphosed into the FIG LEAF of the army... She attempted to white wash the massacres and the deportations... and now,
Amnesty International has withdrawn its highest human rights honor from Aung San Suu Kyi, the leader of Myanmar, citing her defense of the military's genocidal massacre and deportations of Rohingya Muslims and restrictions on free speech.                                                  

Amnesty International is stripping Myanmar's de facto leader Aung San Suu Kyi of its highest honour, the Ambassador of Conscience Award.The politician and Nobel peace prize winner received the honour in 2009, when she was living under house arrest.

The rights group said it was profoundly dismayed at her failure to speak out for the Rohingya minority, some 700,000 of whom have fled a military crackdown.

But, Nobel Peace Prize which has become a safety valve for the ruling 1%... has refused to revoke the PEACE Prize from her...

Aung San Suu Kyi’s Nobel peace prize will not be withdrawn in the light of a United Nations report that said Myanmar’s military carried out mass killings of Muslim Rohingya.

UN investigators said Myanmar’s military carried out killings and gang rapes with “genocidal intent”, and the commander-in-chief and five generals should be prosecuted for the gravest crimes under international law.
