The Hypocrisy and the Dirty Laundry Spread on the World Stage... The U.N.

While reading I encountered a new word... 

                                                                                   yesterday...

Words and their etymology have always fascinated me...  I get amused by the history of words and their evolution... It makes me happy and at the same time entertains me...   A glass of vodka with word origins and etymology is magically scandalous way to pass the time and simultaneously learn new methods of surviving the daily barrage of news... and madness. Yesterday, while reading I encountered a "new" word, new at least to me... "infotainment..." A hybrid of information and entertainment... a new compound word...  The new word is enchantingly charming... and opened up new windows of magical wizardry... in my mind...  I had always been attracted by the sociopolitical news... and the reporters had entertained me often... so the combination of information and entertainment is not new to me... but the realization that I am being entertained while being informed shed a new light on my habit... on my way of life...  Acually, I realized that Jon Stewart and Jimmy Kimmel and Fox's Tucker Carlson and Paul Begala on the CNN and Bill O'Reilly in his scandalous demise all are as sexy as the other... and news worthy and informative... In the electronic age... we are entertained on line... we are informed on line... and we meet each other on line... Actually I just know you on line...  Few months ago commenteriat caught my imagination... the pundits who just comment on the news and earn a living is always funny to me... but comments in the fashion of Soviet "secretariat" was amusing for me... ...And now I have infotainment to play with... But, Before infotainment and commenteriat there was bromance... and see how bromance is explained in Wikipedia... A bromance is a close, emotionally intense, non-sexual bond between two men. It is an exceptionally tight affectional, homosocial male bonding relationship exceeding that of usual friendship, and is distinguished by a particularly high level of emotional intimacy. The emergence of the concept since the beginning of the 21st century has been seen as reflecting a change in societal perception and interest in the theme,  with an increasing openness of western society in the twenty-first century to reconsider gender, sexuality, and exclusivity constraints... and I am quite amused to suggest that some leaders in the world stage... are in a bromance...  Interesting concept... and quite Freudian too...

Insults and threats... and Hypocrisy... on the World Stage at the UN...

The World Hypocrisy Award... 
                          or Hypocrisy Without Borders...
The word hypocrisy is derived from the Latin word hypocrita  meaning stage actor... and the Latin word is derived from the Greek hypokritēs meaning an actor or a pretender...
But, 
They insult each other...
           Is he the "madman"... ?                Is he the "dotard"...?
The "dotard" initiates...

The Rocket Man… and the rest of the insults...and threats... The president threatened that the United States would be forced to "totally destroy" North Korea, if the United States or its allies are "forced to defend" themselves against the regime. Kim Jong Un of North Korea, who is obviously a madman who doesn't mind starving or killing his people, will be tested like never before! "madman... will be tested like never before".

The "madman" reciprocates in kind... and declares...

But, far from making remarks of any persuasive power that can be viewed to be helpful to defusing tension, he made unprecedented rude nonsense one has never heard from any of his predecessors. A frightened dog barks louder. ……………………………………... His remarks remind me of such words as “political layman” and “political heretic” which were in vogue in reference to Trump during his presidential election campaign. ……………………. I will surely and definitely tame the mentally deranged U.S. dotard with fire.

Indeed these two are in a bromance never seen before...

1. The U.S. of America...

The U.S. is promoting PEACE by providing Saudi Arabia arms to bomb Yemen... where civilian deaths are rising and the people are starving... The U.N. anticipates the world's largest humanitarian crisis in recent history...

The U.S. wants to establish peace but also wants to destroy North Korea... and want regime change in Venezuela... wants to choke Cuba and Iran... 

The U.S. is bombing in Syria and in Iraq and in Afghanistan... so as to establish peace in the Middle East... and attempting to mediate in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict by siding with the Israeli camouflage apartheid democracy... 

In essence the U.S. is waging several wars... aiding-abetting in others ... and threatening countries like North Korea and Iran and Venezuela and Cuba... ALL IN THE NAME OF PEACE...

Also the re-emergence of internal racist conflict has marred the democratic norms of the society... the White Supremacists are demanding their share of the racist pie... and some police are claiming that they "only kill blacks..." and other police are chanting on the streets of St. Louis the White Supremacist chant... "whose streets... Our Streets..."

2. Russia has invaded Ukraine... annexed Crimea and just this week conducted a huge military "game" in Europe in order to threaten its neighbours... like Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania...

Russia is governed by an apparatchik oligarchic despotic horde without any respect for human rights and freedoms... and this horde is waging wars in Syria and attempting to destabilize the Western style European and American "democracies..."

Opposition leaders have been killed regularly... and some have just disappeared or rotting in prison...

Putin is nostalgic to the Soviet-Stalinist decades... and wants its empire back...

3. Turkey is waging wars on its minorities... The Kurds, Alevie Arabs, Pontic Greeks, Armenians and Yezidies... have no rights in Turkey... Its president, Erdogan is attempting to establish an Islamic despotic fascistic autocracy... Turkey recently revised its textbooks...

Turkey's schools have begun the new academic year with a controversial curriculum that leaves out the theory of evolution and brings in the concept of jihad. For Turkey's Islamist-rooted government, the idea is for a new "education of values". Critics have denounced new textbooks as "sexist" and "anti-scientific", and complain of a major blow to secular education. "By embedding a jihadist education of values, they try to plague the brains of our little children, with the same understanding that transforms the Middle East into a bloodbath," said

Thousands of oppositionist politicians are jailed... Many reporters are imprisoned... newspapers are closed... and the Islamic fascists are parading the streets similar to the White Supremacists - KKK in America...

Erdogan's regime is brutally suppressing all dissent... even in the U.S. and Germany...

Violence erupted at a New York hotel after protesters heckled a speech by Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan with chants of "terrorist".

Mr Erdogan was addressing supporters in Turkish at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in Times Square when he was interrupted by several demonstrators.

"You're a terrorist, get out of my country," one protester shouted before he was punched and dragged away.

Maybe just by coincidence... Yesterday Erdogan and Trump were also in a bromance at the world stage... They complemented each other lavishly... and promised "lasting friendship..."

Hypocrisy has no limits. after all... !

4. Myanmar-Burma...

Ang San Suu Kyi is not attending the U.N. this year... because she has "better" things to do at home... She is on an ethnic cleansing mission and wants to get rid of the Rohingyas once and for all... 

The Myanmar-Burma military is brutally murdering and killing Rohingyas and burning their villages... more than thousands [more than 400 000] have crossed into Bangladesh... 

Aung San Suu Kyi was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize... But she is now on a mission of ethnic cleansing...

"She's no longer a peace campaigner, she's evolved and transitioned into a full-time politician,"

Amnesty International accused Suu Kyi and her government of "burying their heads in the sand over the horrors unfolding in Rakhine State."
She addressed the people this week and...

"At times, her speech amounted to little more than a mix of untruths and victim blaming," said James Gomez, Amnesty International's Regional Director for Southeast Asia and the Pacific.

  

With nearly half of Myanmar’s Rohingya Muslim population having fled the country in the past three weeks, Aung San Suu Kyi addressed the crisis publicly for the first time — and called it a mystery...
"We want to find out why this exodus is happening," Suu Kyi, the leader of Myanmar's governing party, said Tuesday in a nationally televised speech from the capital, Naypyidaw.

Penny Green, a professor of law at Queen Mary University of London who studies the Rohingya conflict, called out Suu Kyi's connection of the Rohingya to the ARSA militant group as behavior common among those targeting an ethnic group. "She (Suu Kyi) chooses to use the word in relation to a terrorist group, that means that is the only identity that Rohingya will be attached to, from her perspective and she hopes from the international perspective," Green said. Green said Suu Kyi's speech was "disingenuous" and "filled with underlying denials" that she said was "typical of the way in which state criminals behave."

Name calling has solved NOTHING in the world and threats and counter-threats may just escalate the situation to a point of no return... Maybe we should call it NUCLEAR POINT OF NO RETURN...

Climate change is fast approaching a point of no return... 
Wars are multiplying... globally...
Political and religious terrorism is on the rise...
Refugee Crisis is globalized...
Russia is staging "war games..." instead of looking after its                         people...
The US, America... is more and more getting entangled into a race quagmire... White supremacists are getting bolder... the police are murdering more and more blacks and young people... They even chanted in St. Louise... "Whose streets...?
Our streets..." It was vulgar and very anoying to listen to the police chanting and copying the white supremacist of Charlottesville... where white supremacist confrontoed the people and killed one of them... 
The Middle East still on fire... Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen and Israel/Palestine... all are in turmoil and war...

Saber rattling has never solved any problems... the US and North Korea have no right to take the world to a NUCLEAR POINT OF NO RETURN...
The leaders of both countries should grow up and behave like adults... Is this wishful thinking...? Maybe... But then, it is our only alternative...

North Korea and America have no right to play with "fire and fury..." when the world is at stake... 
If North Korea and the U.S. desire to rattle their sabers... why don't they engage in a Broadway show... and stage the Saber Dance in Katchadurian's Spartacus... on Broadway... Maybe the place for North Korea and the U.S. is the Broadway and not the UN...

A former Soviet military officer credited with averting a possible nuclear disaster at the peak of the Cold War has died at the age of 77. Stanislav Petrov was on duty at a Russian nuclear early warning centre in 1983 when computers wrongly detected incoming missiles from the US. He took the decision that they were a false alarm and did not report them to his superiors. His actions, which came to light years later, possibly prevented nuclear war. "I had all the data [to suggest there was an ongoing missile attack]. If I had sent my report up the chain of command, nobody would have said a word against it," he said. "All I had to do was to reach for the phone; to raise the direct line to our top commanders - but I couldn't move. I felt like I was sitting on a hot frying pan." Although his training dictated he should contact the Soviet military immediately, Petrov instead called the duty officer at army headquarters and reported a system malfunction. If he had been wrong, the first nuclear blasts would have happened minutes later. "Twenty-three minutes later I realised that nothing had happened. If there had been a real strike, then I would already know about it. It was such a relief," he recalled. A later investigation concluded that Soviet satellites had mistakenly identified sunlight reflecting on clouds as the engines of intercontinental ballistic missiles.

"I wish I could say there is no chance of an accidental nuclear launch today. But when we deal with space- when we play God- who knows what will be the next surprise...?"

Today when from the UN stage people are threatening each other... When people are saber rattling from North Korea to the UN in New York... I want to remember Stanislav Petrov... and his absolutely courageous decision not to report the error to his superiors...

It was during the Soviet era... and he could have been sentenced to death or jailed for life... He bold decision SAVED THE GLOBE... and we are alive because of him...

Religion must stay out of the state and out of our education system... 

Schools are neither churches nor mosques... do not preach to people where you do not belong...

Children suffering... Check the face and the eyes... What has God done...?         Cannot the God of Christians... the God of Muslims... the prophets of Buddhism and Hindu gurus... COEXIST...?

Cannot we place people first...?

People should first... After all, religion is merely an addition...   In fact Christian, Muslim, Hindu, Buddist, Sikh, Alevi, Evangelical or Catholic... all are just adjectives... They have divided humanity for centuries... at times they have dehumanized people and have caused much suffering... Religion has provided pretexts for persecution... and massacres and murders... and looting... and genocides...

Human history is the history of the shame of Organized Religion... For centuries... even before Christ and Buddha and Muhammad and the rest of the prophets... rulers, the historical 1%... was killing and murdering and looting in the name of religion...

Genocides and Holocausts are committed in the name of religion...

Armenians who were leaving Narlı Kapı Church in İstanbul on Sunday were stoned by a group of youth who chanted “death to you,” the Artigerçek news website reported on Monday. Recently an ultranationalist group attacked the funeral of the mother of jailed Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) deputy Aysel Tuğluk in Ankara saying that they would not let “Kurds, Alevis or Armenians be buried in the cemetery.” The body of Tuğluk’s mother was removed from the grave following the attack to be buried in Tunceli province. Religious and ethnic minorities have increasingly been the target of hate speech and racist attacks in Turkey. A racist graffiti, which read “May the Turkish race live,” was scrawled on the courtyard wall of an Armenian school in İstanbul last year in Sep. More anti-Armenian graffiti which read “Suffering to Armenians,” was painted on the wall of the same school on the ninth anniversary of the murder of Turkish Armenian journalist Hrant Dink. A similar message was also written on the wall of Surp Haç Ermeni High School in the Bağlarbaşı neighborhood of İstanbul. “Suffering to Armenians,” the message read.

According to the TURK-IS nearly 50% of Turkey's population is at the poverty line, and the official figures put it at 22.4%...

Why spend billions on weapons when the population is unemployed and hungry...?

Why Russia will sell weapons to Turkey when the Turkish regime is persecuting minorities and aiding and abetting the Islamist Jihadists in the Middle East...?

Mr Erdogan, quoted by Turkey's Hurriyet daily, voiced displeasure with unnamed Western partners who were "seeking enormous amounts of money" for military drones... The West, like Russia, are merchants of death too... The 1% Without Borders does not have any nationality... The dollar unites them all... and in their greed for more profits they are UNITED and their GREED smashes all borders and transcends national identity... Power corrupts and the dollar units the corruption... Erdogan said Turkey had killed 90 YPG (that is Kurdish) "terrorists" in the past week with Turkish drones - developed because the Western ones were too expensive...  "We are responsible for taking security measures for the defense of our country," he stressed.

The laws should be people friendly... educational and NOT 

PUNITIVE ... 

Laws should enable people to coexist in peace... 

The police should not be unleashed against people... citizens... 

and the police should not kill because of the colour of ones 

skin... or arrest because of ones race or religion...

Police should be part of the people and not the protectors of 

the 1%... They should serve and protect ALL THE PEOPLE 

and not be the defenders of the 1%...
