Ross... in Moody Mornings... and Red Carpet for Cars...

Some days you wake up with a turmoil... Mixed emotions... Maybe it is because you dreamed of something that you do not remember in the morning... Actually Ross never remembered what he dreamed about, but whenever I met him in the morning at the Chapel... noticing my moody, contemplative and up-in-the-air situation advised; "Again you must have had a dream of..."
These mornings were rare and my mood dissipated with the music and the energy of the students...
Nothing had happened... But many things had happened during the day... People were massacred, bombs exploded, refugees trapped, refugees drowned... and funny people won elections...
Ross was the guardian of the Chapel... He had given a key to me and I used it... Those hours were special... The door locked for others... I had the Chapel to myself... Sort of having God's ear all to yourself... like a private audience...
He had trusted the Chapel and also God to me... In those moments I was the custodian of both... !
Most people know it all... Most people have solution to everything... Not Ross... He let things settle in there own way... allowed me real time and my own space... so as things come together again... and eventually they did... Just living in an uncertain mood will dray people down... For whatever the reason, Ross will refer to dreaming..., wallowing in self pity is not intellectually healthy... in fact, self pity is for losers... That's what Ross told me...
Whenever he detected a moody "Good morning..." He would keep quiet...talk less...let me open up...or shut down... He would let me have few minutes of "aloneness" in the chapel and let me go to my classroom and to my morning music... The music helps... It always does... and then the young people will begin showing up... and energize the space... The noise of the youth is therapeutic... their energy panacea to all evil...
Ross will visit my classes at the beginning of each bell... and check whether the ghosts of the evening are still lingering around... attempt a joke... maybe hug a student in need of a hug... and disappear... to repeat the routine with the next bell...
Ross never gave up on friends and work hard to make them happier...

Something New... Something Innovative...
A bold and beautiful new policies...
Maybe ALL the governments should follow the example.

. The prime minister of the United Arab Emirates has announced the creation of a minister of state for happiness, as part of a major government shake-up. The minister emphasized that the ministry will initiate policy "to create social good and satisfaction".
. Also, a  new post of minister of state for tolerance was also created.
. He also said; "We want a young and flexible government that will fulfil our youth's aspirations and achieve our people's ambitions." The minister of state for tolerance would promote the virtue of tolerance "as a fundamental value in county's society".
. The prime minister also announced the creation of Youth National Council.
The "elite group of young men and women" would advise the government on youth issues and be led by a female minister of state for youth no older than 22, he said, adding: "The energy of youth will fuel our government in future."

The Youth National Council is a great idea... May be it should be set up in every institution... in schools and in business and in churches and in governments... with REAL POWER of veto... If a policy does not make sense...
The Middle East gave us three great religions... and initiated our humanist civilization... Maybe now there are up to something new... Maybe the Middle East will do much better when LEFT ALONE... IN PEACE...

And also... Something for Diogenes...

Giant red carpet for Egypt leader's motorcade
Egyptian presidential motorcade drives down red carpet in 6 October City on 6 February 2016
The use of a red carpet for the motorcade of President Al-Sisi has provoked criticism in Egypt and laughs from all over the world...
Cars carrying Mr Sisi and other officials drove down the red carpet on Saturday as they were visiting projects in 6 October City, a suburb of Cairo.
Several commentators questioned the apparent extravagance, just as the president was making a speech about the need to cut government subsidies.
The military said the carpet was meant to give joy to the Egyptian people.
Using a red carpet for cars is "innovative" too... !
Some rulers are very stupid... and others very stupid and dictatorial... Maybe it is an intoxication that comes with the fumes of oil...
